Journalists from all over the world are encouraged to visit Afghanistan. Standard-issue visas are issued and required for journalists and all media related personnel (i.e. filmmakers, photographers, cameramen, producers, etc.) traveling to Afghanistan and must be obtained in advance of the trip.

 

Afghanistan's Consular Office issues standard visas to journalists. Journalists will receive a letter with their visas containing information on how to register with an seek assistance from the Directorate of Media Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, located at Char-rah Malik Asghar, Shah Mahmood Ghazi Wat, Kabul, Afghanistan.
